Sonya Jevette - Artist

When I stand before GOD at the end of my life, I hope that I have not a single bit of talent left so that I can say, "I used everything you gave me." -Erma Bombeck" Thank you for including me in your network.

Singer, songwriter guitarist Jevette received special recognition for her talents when Will Wynn, mayor of Austin, TX, proclaimed March 25, 2004 as Jevette Day.

The words sultry, cool, and eccentric have been among the favorable words used to describe the Dallas-born performer. Jevette grew up singing to the great R&B tunes that dominated the airwaves in the seventies. As a teen she honed her vocal talent through the church choir.

Jevette combines her rich, passionate voice and her gut-wrenching lyrics with classical, Latin and jazz style guitar. Jevette's configuration produces a style that can only be described as unique.
