Singer, songwriter guitarist Jevette received special recognition for her talents when Will Wynn, mayor of Austin, TX, proclaimed March 25, 2004 as Jevette Day.

The words sultry, cool, and eccentric have been among the favorable words used to describe the Dallas-born performer. Jevette grew up singing to the great R&B tunes that dominated the airwaves in the seventies. As a teen she honed her vocal talent through the church choir.

Jevette combines her rich, passionate voice and her gut-wrenching lyrics with classical, Latin and jazz style guitar. Jevette's configuration produces a style that can only be described as unique.

She was nominated in the Dallas Observer 2002 Music Awards along side Erykah Badu and N'Dambi. Jevette has played in venues such as Dallas Hard Rock Cafe, Deep Ellum Live, Gypsy Tea Room, and Ft. Worth's Caravan of Dreams.

Jevette has a passion for the business side of the music industry and has established her own Indie label, Sound Byte Production (S.B.P.) since 1999 S.B.P. has been selling out of copies of Jevette's first CD "Everything Begins with One."
